Ground elder

I read a thread on here about getting rid of ground elder by planting something that poisons it. I thought it was a geranium, but I can't find the thread now. Can anyone please enlighten me?

I haven’t ever found anything like this. We have to dig it out or use weed killer but our neighbours don’t get rid so it’s a never ending task sadly.

The only thing I have found that works is Roundup gel, and even then you have to apply it repeatedly for quite a long time.

I believe it was this:

You can eat it (ground elder) - revenge!

I believe it's a particular variety of Tagetes

But to be honest, i've managed to get rid just by repeatedly pulling and digging off roots (very satisfying when you get a long chunk)

Now if only i can get on top of the bindweed too

I have planted Cranesbill Geraniums in the area affected by ground elder, they seem to be keeping it at bay.
I did remove as much as possible before planting the geraniums. Unfortunately, the next door neighbour allows it to come through the hedge.

Thank you @NotMaryWhitehouse, that was the one! Off to the garden centre. Grin
