I realise I'd like to have one of those apps where you photograph a plant and it tells you what it is and a bit about it....

Have you used one?
What do you think of it?

Thanks!

I bought Plant Snap and I think it's totally rubbish. Only useful about 25% of the time.

I use an app called PictureThis (free) and it is very good. Accurate all the time and has a nice choice of borders (pun not intended) for the resulting photos.

I haven't found a good app, but there's a fab Facebook page called "What is this plant?" that has some very knowledgeable people on - get some wrong suggestions occasionally, but often the right identification gets lots of likes.

I use Seek. It works for insects and other animals too. It doesn't work all the time, but it's free.
