Moving stuff

I'm not a great gardener. Try hard and a constant battle against ground elder, bind weed etc. Just cleared a bed under a tree. Somethings now need moving. Would you wait until the autumn?
For added info this bed does better in the spring.

What is it that needs moving? The advice could be different depending what it is.

I want to move some euphorbia and aquilegia.

Water them well. dig them up, trim them back and replant. Keep watered if the weather is hot. I would put a thick mulch around them to keep the roots nice and cosy.
