Just that really. How to get the cat to stay away from the flowerbeds??

Not sure if it works or not (I've just started with it) but the garden company Primrose offer ultrasonic deterrents with good reviews and a money-back guarantee.

I have a patch of plant free soil in my border that my cat uses. Turn it over every day and remove poop, she won't go anywhere else. Might work?

Plant very densely, so they can't get at bare soil.

I’ve posted this before, but it works in my garden. Spent coffee grounds, about 3 pots worth, mixed with half a teaspoon of Vicks vapour rub (get the cheap non Vicks version). Add some cut up citrus peel if you have any. Spread it on the area the cats use. Do this a couple of times for a week.
They hate the smell, it masks their marking territory and is harmless to cats and plants.
Bonus, I don’t think snails and slugs like it either.

Another vote for Primrose garden deterrent. We bought one and at first I thought it didn't work but now it's been months with no cat poop in our yard. It takes a couple of weeks to permanently deter them but it does work.

Another vote for coffee grounds. I was very sceptical, but it appears to work very well!

Thanks very much, everyone
