Does this look like it could be a variety of fern?

We went out today to try and find an example of a fern for my son’s homework. I had in my head bracken, so was looking for this kind of thing. Couldn’t find anything like that where we were. We did find this plant though. Quite small, in large numbers, I took a leaf. Do we think it could be a fern?

Should add it’s soft and kind of velvety to touch.

Looks pretty ferny to me.

I think it’s silverweed, which is not a fern. Also called silver cinquefoil

Look up Argentina anserina and see if it’s a match
