heavy handed watering and newly planted geraniums'leaves wet and muddy

because i'm over tired and clumsy and stupid - will they be ok wise ones ?

They'll be grand, don't worry. If you've knocked a lot of soil off, just replace it tomorrow.

ah thank you @UniversalTruth - I think it's a universal truth that when one is overwhelmed and overtired efforts to get on with stuff often result in two steps back rather than one forward !

I really am a bit heavy handed ( how on earth am I going to transplant the teeny tiny plants I've grown from seed ???)and just hate to ruin plants with my stupidity .

Tip from transplanting small seedlings is to use an old fork to lift them from their trays. Giggle them around a bit to separate the roots use your finger or end of a garden cane to make a hole where you wish to plant. Drop the seedling in place and then gently finch the soil back around it.

Thanks Dontsweathelittlestuff I like the fork idea ,sounds as though it might be possible....
