This really. I’m learning about gardening and would love a rose bush. How difficult are they to grow?

Really easy. Bare rooted roses are still available or you can get potted ones which are more expensive. Best place to start is David Austen Roses. They are really informative, have a huge selection, offer a guarantee and you can email them with any questions. Or, of course, ask on here as thetr is a wealth of informed posters.

Do you know what type of soil you have?

Thank you! We have just had the garden landscaped with specific high, deep planters for me to enjoy. The soil hasn’t been added yet so I can really start from scratch. Thank you for your help

Oooo i love a garden make-over. Are there any pictures? I had loads of help on here when I did mine 2 years ago. I did lots of before, during and after photos. It was great to have everyone gardening along with me.

I'd go to the David Austin rose website. You can pick according to colour and habit etc.

If you're planting in raised beds something that flowers to the ground will be best, so not something too upright. (Eg Queen of Sweden will not work.)

They're remarkably easy. :)
