Snowdrops in the green that I can't plant until the weekend

Hi, I've bought snowdrops in the green for the first time, which I can't plant until the weekend. Everything I'm reading online says plant them ASAP- what should I do with them if I can't plant them straight away? Any other snowdrop tips would me most appreciated as I'm a newbie!

TIA

Can you just make a quick v trench and heel them in for the time being? (Unless you have loads of course).

Does "in the green" mean in soil in pots?

It means still with leaves, universal, so lifted from elsewhere and needing to be in the soil really.

They’ll be fine outside with the leaves exposed and the roots wrapped so they don’t dry out

Thank you so much Trethew, that worked a treat!
