Screening

We need to replace the reed screening on a metal mesh gate as it is rotten. Does anyone have any experience of whether it is better to buy more expensive screening or whether it's much of a muchness? We can buy a 4m roll from a trade counter for under £10 or buy from the likes of Primrose at higher prices. Primrose have quite a large range of different products. There's also artificial bamboo screening which is three times the price - I'm not sure I want this as it's plastic and we can replace rush or burshwood screening several times over for the same money.

To add to this, I'm thinking of putting fake ivy or boxwood screening on the other side (street side) of the gate - DP has recently cleared an overhanging fallen branch and the gate is much more exposed. Before the branch was cleared, you could barely tell there was a gate there. Does anyone have any recommendations?
