Any money to be made growing fruit and veg?

My DH and I wondering about setting up small business growing and selling, say, soft fruits? Is there any money to be made selling from stalls, fetes, car boot sales, online locally? Or do people just want to get everything in one place (supermarket) as it's easier and maybe cheaper? Is it possible to sell to pubs and restaurants or, again, do they just tend to get everything in bulk. Realise it's a short season but DH has some experience growing and selling strawberries years ago. Thinking about a few acres so could grow quite a lot. Very grateful for any advice.

I have no advice sadly but i don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to and could you approach a local farm shop to ask if they’d consider selling it?

My only effort has been growing lots of parsley from our own parsley that went to seed and then trying rosemary too and it’s so satisfying. I would happily have tried selling it but some animal found it first and ate the lot Smile. (I imagine a rat or squirrel as was in the greenhouse!)
