Hope some of you lovely people can help me....do you know what type of apples these are from my garden? Large egg included for size. Thanks

Almost impossible to tell from a picture like this. There's over 3000 varieties of apple in the UK. You need to know all sorts of information = colouring when ripe, patterning on the skin, colour of flesh, shape of apple, shape of the "eye" - the end where the flower is, time of flowering, time of ripening and how long they keep, taste, whether it's a dessert apple or a cooker ...

Those apples don't look ripe to me, and it's quite early for most varieties. Did they lift off easily or did you have to tug them off?
