pretty, if you like that sort of thing, i don't obviously as something must be wrong. Took leaves to nursery today and the man said it was because we have had a cold snap, im not convinced, my applets are going black too, any ideas?

Could be apple scab

lucyellensmum · 02/06/2007 23:25

thanks wigwambam but it doesnt look like that, just brown patches in the mosaic pattern set out by the leaves. if you know what i mean. Also present on my tomatos and corgettes

i can't believe the apple has the same problem as the tomatoes and courgettes.

Where are your tomatoes/courgettes growing? could they be missing some nutrition? have you started feeding them yet? could it be some sort of rust or other fungal problem> is it just on the old leaves - if so rip them off and be nice to the plants and see what happens (not the apple obviously!)

the toms are in the ground, as are a couple of poorly performing corgettes, the ones with the brown spots are in big pots, they are doing better. will just wait and see i think, im not sure it is down to the weather though

I have got similar thing on my toms & courgettes. Starts off as brownish dots and then covers the whole leaves. Looks like something is sort of stripping the green bit of the leaf off to leave a kind of papery skeleton underneath.

yes, thats it!
