Ouch: frost has got my pumpkins and courgettes. Will they recover?

Just been over to check if any more sweetcorn have pushed through (fat chance in this weather) and spotted that my pumpkin and courgette plants are all wilted. Baffled for a moment and then realised it must have been a frost. Really gutted as they were doing so well. I've put closhes over the courgettes now and squuzed the pumpkins into old lemonade bottles but will this help? Is it too late? Will the plants recover or have they had it? Should have listened to those frost warnings. Sob sob.

Oh dear, poor you. Gutting when that sort of thing happens isn't it? I hope they do recover, but it wouldn't be too late to plant out some more if it is terminal. Would any local MNers to you have any spare? I have one I would happily give away (assuming no frost related deaths - not checked yet), but they are not exactly postable are they?!! If not, I suggest a trip to the garden centre to buy some more.

Well have got some more courgette seed but they are all organic and you only get a few seeds in the packet so no more pumpkins. Just so annoying - I mean its June tomorrow!
Thanks for the sympathy though and love the name.
