Hello everyone, I love pink magnolia and am tempted to buy one of these for my garden:

How easy are they to grow (complete novice here!) and would now be an ok time to plant one, or should I really wait till spring? I can't wait to get one! Smile

I've been coveting one, it has a longer flowering season than most magnolias.

I'm a novice myself, but understand it's better to plant them during their dormant stage, so late autumn or early spring, once the ground has thawed. This will increase their chances of survival, the ground's to hot and dry right now. They take around 10-15 years to come into bloom, (depending on age of tree you purchase of course.)

I'm sure somebody more clued up than me will be along to advise though!

Thats a beauty. Dont plant anything now it will shrivel and die. But might be a good idea to order forthe september delivery.
