Plant Identification please help

Can anyone identify this plant? Found it in my garden, it looked like a bare stick in spring but it grew to look like this. No idea what it is, grows quite fast.

Could it be an alder tree - if it has a single root when you pull it up it could be a sapling rather than a herbaceous weed.

Thank you GeorgeIII I don’t think it’s an alder tree. My daughter tells me she remembers me bringing it home and sticking it in the ground 🤔 but I don’t 😳

Not sure, but it's smothered in aphids at the top of the stems!
