New turf laid 3 weeks ago - hosepipe ban on Monday 2nd July!!

As title suggests we have just laid turf in our front and back garden - watered it daily and it is in great shape. We are in ROI so would never ever normally having the weather we are having! So unfortunately hosepipe ban from Monday for at least a month. Front garden is about 20 x 20 feet. Back garden maybe 40 x 20 so not huge areas.

We cut it for the first time last week so due another high cut tomorrow. Planning on watering it using water can and any water from kids bath / kitchen sink etc.

Any other advice other than rain dance? What are the chances of it surviving - we're getting temps of about 22-26 degrees.

Don't cut it! That will make it thirsty
Soak it twice a day until the bam comes in And buy lots of watering cans and hand water it.

Alan Titchmarsh was talking about this on the radio this morning. He said you can use bath or shower water if you don't mind the bucket-ferrying.

Could you rig something up to create some shade ,target area that gets most /midday sun ?

Thanks all - peridita that's a good idea - we can reassemble the kids trampoline and move it round the garden each day. Rain now due on Thursday so hopefully we can keep it going via hand watering until then.
