Garden furniture - only lawn, no patio

We need new garden furniture but don’t have a patio, just the lawn.

Do we just have to suck up the lumps and bumps and stick a table and chairs on top??

What about those big outdoors mats/rugs? Better on there or will we get all caught up/find it harder to move the chairs etc?

What about a wooden bench, beer garden style?

I hadn’t thought of that, but would like something a bit more comfy for when guests come over.
