I love this plant but do not what it is. Please help me identify it. The first photo is one of the many blooms and the second is before it started budding. Thank you.

I love that - but guessing by first response it would be very hard to grow???

FusionChefJeff It was apart of the existing landscaping when I bought my house. I haven't done anything to it. It gets full sun, and I will water if we haven't gotten enough rain.... It doesn't seem to need me much.

They’re not hard to grow, but don’t like being moved. When they’ve young or have been moved, it can be unpredictable when they will flower. I have had one in a pot for a couple of years and this year it has just one flower.
I’d plant it in the ground, but it might set it back again.

Ok thanks both - I've got a brand new big bed after ripping out some boring hedges so going to give it a go as they're my favourites!
