My front garden is currently covered in weeds - including amongst other things wood avens and creeping cinquefoil. We're having some work done next week and after that I intend to pretty much "start again" - digging out the plants I want to keep and weeding the rest before replanting. Does anyone have tips for weeding large areas, especially of creeping perennials? I've seen the idea of covering an area with tarpaulin and leaving it a while mentioned, but does that take years to work? Any other tips to make this a slightly less daunting task?!
Thanks in advance
