Feeling v fed up and sorry for myself . I so want to be doing stuff but I'm lurking in the bedroom with the blinds down and barely able to MN because of streaming eyes .

And where once I could go out early I seem to no longer ( age + health issues ) tohave the energy .

Anyone else in similar boat ?

I got loads done this morning, digging and getting out a bamboo shoot, while it was still cool ad overcast. Now it's getting to hot for me to wnat to do anything

Me! I tend to pop out for 10 minutes or so, deadheading etc and then scurry back inside for a bit. I am doing a lot of planning (in my head, and on paper) for some tricky parts of my little garden, which is making me feel a bit better.

Go out and buy some effervescent Vitamin C tablets (I get the ones from Boots, nearly always on 3 for 2). Vitamin C is a natural antihistamine. Start on one a day then build up to morning and afternoon. I still take pill antihistamines sometimes but it made the world of difference to me.

Thomas Hardy - good to know it's not just me and thanks Cristal ,I shall be giving that a go .

I guess a lot of us have been there but I feel so blue - I only discovered gardening 3 or 4 years ago and like a true convert ( had previously viewed it as much the same as outdoor houswork )am evangelical . But now I can't stop wondering how much longer I can cope . It is very hard physical work .
