I have never really been up to much gardening. A few weeks ago I got 2 strawberry plants from wilkos a pound each and found a metal bucket planter in the garden.

Never thought it would grow.....its got a fair few strawbs on it ones starting to go red already. Once I have picked them off will more grow?

Can not wait to try them!!

They won’t grow more fruit after you’ve picked them, but stick them in the ground somewhere if you have space when you’re done and you can let the runners plant themselves to make new plants.

I got six plants cheap somewhere last year... let the runners grow wherever they landed and look at them now!

Do they not need to be covered in netting or something to stop birds/slugs etc eating them?

MrsMotherHen runners are little 'baby' plants that grow from the main plant they will grow out on a long stem and take root. That is an impressive display you have Coriander!

If I have my plants in a hanging basket is there anything Incan do with the runners or do the only re grownif attached to the plant itself?
