My lovely bays trees (planted in the ground) about 5 ft tall, been there for at least 15 years at a guess (I've had the house 11 years) are poorly.
They are usually bright green at this time of year with the new growth, but so far theres only limited new growth, the old leaves are battered/torn (had a short trial with a gardener and they used an electric trimmer on them - I've only ever used hand shears) but even more alarmingly there are large areas of dead leaves, possibly dead branches within the tree.
Is there anything that can be done, most of the advice online is about potted bays, and I can't follow advice as mine are well-established in the ground?
They are such lovely trees, I would hate to lose them :-(
