Please help motivate me - NEED to clear garden arghh

So maybe abit OTT

Its not actually my whole garden it's an area at the back at the side of the shed

I've decided it's the perfect little corner space to do something lovely with for my little boy. Has a tree at the back, perfectly shaded.

Problem I have is it's abit shitty, meaning shite over there that needs clearing. It's not actually a massive job but I have been putting this off as I'm terrified of what spiders I'm going to find jumping out at me when I move things

I know it sounds so pathetic but I am literally terrified, other bugs and creepy crawlies don't bother me :)

Currently sat at the table staring at this space that I can imagine becoming a little sanctuary for me and my boy to sit and I'm gearing myself up to make a start and do it....with the help of DS

Has anyone who feels the same about spiders and bugs overcome their nerves of doing their garden??

I keep thinking of the end product but I'm still struggling. Need to pull up my big pants and tackle it,but arghhh

Gloves on, long sleeves and trousers. Pull your socks up over the bottom of your trousers if you have to so that there is no way in. Maybe get a dustpan brush and Sweep each bit before you try and move it to try and disturb any spiders so you can see them.

You can do it! Most creepy crawlies move off quickly when you disturb them.
Afterwards reward yourself with watching BBC Chelsea Flower Show programmes and a cool drink!

Think of your son - I've always found that I can cope with things for my offspring that I couldn't cope with if just for me .

I think spiders can be scary for ppl - the legs and they way they move .But - they are small and will run away from you .Keep repeating that.

And MissStegs gives good advice .Maybe add loud music ? Sing to yourself ?
