How to make a wide shallow garden look longer

I have a wide garden with very little depth. It has a patio in front of the house and to the side and s large summerhouse at the end which is slightly at an angle because the garden is irregular shape

I've attached a terrible not to scale diagram!

How can I make it look longer or otherwise design it better?

In the middle is a square bit of grass

Plant blues and off whites at the back rather than bright hot colours. Hot colours seem to come towards you.
