Magnolia? Quite difficult to see has it flowered at all...

Strax · 21/04/2018 19:25

It'll be much easier to identify once the leaves are fully out and you can see the shape of them I'd have thought.

Cathpot · 21/04/2018 19:32

Yes- apologies I’ve gone early! Not magnolia , leaves keep that sort of silvery look when they are out. I really like it and was looking at it today thinking I must find out what this is. Will try again in a few weeks.

I’m wondering if the people suggesting white hornbeam might mean Whitebeam. Look up Sorbus aria

Trethew · 21/04/2018 20:58

Googled

I don’t remember berries but I could easily be wrong. They are both in the right ball park- should be easy from here

I realised I'd seen one before, there's one in my garden I think. Not an enormous help as I don't know what it is either, but I found one with flowers emerging which may be useful for identification?

I had a proper look at it today and saw some old berries on it so that fits. Thank you all for sorting it for me.
