Moving Frogspawn

Today my family and I had a great day gardening and cleared out the pond.
We bought a new fish and a net.At the till I mentioned to dd that it would come in useful when we get some of mils frogspawn.
The shopkeeper informed us that it would be illegal to move frogspawn.
Now every year mil clears the frogspawn from her pond and takes it to a local lake. She does not want it in her pond.I asked would it be possible to have some this year.
I looked it up (quickly)and the problem seems to be spreading invasive species of plants.
Since mil is moving the frogspawn anyway would it be a bad idea to put a bit in our pond?

i think the theory is that it can spread disease. On saying that i have moved some because there were no streams or ponds near the place i wanted it. i think if you have fish in the pond they can eat the tadpoles.

who is to stop you though?

I wanted frogs so they would keep the slugs and snails down.
