Hi,
The snow is finally drawing to an end, and the garden is calling, ....

Where do you buy your vegetable seeds from? I am after a variety of the usual sorts, nothing to taxing to grow (dc will be assisting). Carrots / cabbage / peas/ baby leaves / lettuce / spinach ....

Also I am looking for a few more interesting things to grow in the greenhouse - peppers / tomatoes / sweetcorn ....

I have been looking on seekay.co.uk which seem really cheap (if you want to buy seeds by the thousand. I have a fairly small garden, and though I do tend to squash in quite a lot more than I probably should, I suspect 1500 carrot seeds is probably a bit too much, even if I do give several away! On the other hand, if they only cost a pound, then perhaps I'm better to do that than buy smaller packets? But ideally I'd like a couple of varieties of carrot, and a couple of varieties of cabbage and so on, so I could end up wasting rather a lot and it being rather expensive.

Ahhhh, the dilemma of not knowing what to do .....

Oh dear, I seem to have waffled rather a lot.

Suggestions please?

Kings seeds are good and very reasonable. I’m trying Dobies this year too.

Have you looked at Moreveg - cheaper, but much smaller packets so great if you want to try lots of different things. Also premier seeds on eBay.

Plus my beloved... Lidl. V v cheap.

I don't find any difference in germination with any seen brands.

NB lidl tend only to have the most common varieties - certainly no pricey F1 there!

www.realseeds.co.uk/ are good - lots of interesting varieties.

Thanks all. Have just got a little carried away and bought about 40 different types from moreveg. Oops! Ah well, they were certainly bargains!
