Pots

We have a very small garden so I have done a few pots with flowers to make it look nice. DH is misery guts - too many pots, flowers look awful when they die blah blah blah.

Now he wants me to scrub the pots as they are a bit green ( they have been out all winter) - I say pots should be like leather jackets - worn - not shiny and new. DH had a sulk.

Who's right?

You because he sulked. That always means he's wrong...

Tell him gardeners put diluted yoghurt on terracotta pots to make them green. They shouldn't look new.

I have a small garden to and also have loads of pots and I love them when all green and natural looking.
Shiny and new = boring and characterless.
Go with what you like, sounds lovely

Tell him if he wants shiny pots to get out there and do it himself

mummycan · 15/04/2007 22:18

That is basically what I told him _ i think that's why he sulked!

Thanks for your suport guys - will tell him what's what next time he complains
