Ok, I have three raspberry canes, planted in a huge planter this year. They are like the three bears, one has grown very well, one has grown medium well and one is still a baby. They gave some fruit ( about twenty, but hey who's counting?). What do I do now with them? Do I prune them back? If so, how far?
And how do I get more raspberrys next year?
I remember going raspberry picking as a kid and the canes were laden with bloody fruit!
I am a novice and I haven't got a garden, just a big paved area with lots of pots.
I grew some green beans which did quite well and some tomatoes which I thought were going to be fab but we went away and the lovely lad dickhead looking after our house forgot to water them. Silly boy! -stupid bastard
So now I'm looking for a green tomato chutney recipe.........

The canes that have produced fruit, once the fruit is picked, cut that down to the ground. If canes haven't produced fruit this year, they will next so just leave those.

You will need to feed it next year if it is in a pot as it will use up all the nutrients pretty quick, so a tomato feed from the time it flowers to the time the last fruit is picked will be needed.
