Just as the title says - I'm wondering if it's some variety of a Rose of Sharon? It's spread from next door and seems to spread very quickly with runners at shallow depth.

Looks like Japanese anemome to me. How tall is it?

Geum?

Anemone. I can usually spell.

The leaves on my anemone are just like that, except mine is a white flower but its not as healthy unfortunately (it is Ruffled Swan). Here the crous website with the photos of anemones. Maybe yours is September Charm?

Thank you all for such quick replies - it's about 4 to 5 foot high.

Looking at the RHS website, I think you're right with Japanese anemone - maybe the Elegans variety?

Neighbour couldn't remember what it was called.
