Ok so yesterday I was doing some gardening, digging up big thick rooted weeds anyway I was near the stinging nettles when my hand grazed against it, it hurt i acted like a big baby rubbed it with a doc leaf, washed it with cold water. The pain and itching is still there and when I move my hand it feels kind of tight? Any advice?

I use a bite & sting cream www.boots.com/anthisan-bite-and-sting-cream-20g-10016491 on DS1 as he seems to sting himself in nettles from 500 paces every time he's out with cubs. Seems to sooth it very well and quickly.

When I was a child, stinging nettles were everywhere, as was dock to soothe it. However, the sting diminished with 12-24 hours on its own.

Adult nettle stings seems to last far longer, so Athistan cream works treat.

I think nettles have become more vicious. All thriving away because of excess nitrogen from pollution .
