Left the paddling pool up all summer. What shall we do about the grass that we've killed?

Normally we move the paddling pool every week, but this year we left it in the same spot all summer. When we put it will the lawn underneath be quite dead? What is the best thing to do about it?

Maybe rake the dead grass off and sprinkle some seed if you have some. I think it will recover even if you don't put seed down, though recovery will take 6 months I would guess.

Won't it recover as a patch of weeds, though?

Well weeds might appear but if you keep mowing them they will die off, except maybe dandelions which will need weedkilled. September is the time of year for seeding lawns, the new grass might die off if it's v hot in the summer, so I would think if you seed it, as we aren't having hot weather, it will grow in by winter and disappear by next summer.
