Garden furniture recommendations?

We're moving from a flat to a house shortly and will finally have room for a proper garden table and chairs. Can anyone recommend a set?

I'd prefer wooden to metal; DP wants "something sturdy". It needs to seat 4 but I like the idea of being able to extend it to seat six or even eight. A parasol would be a nice option but not essential as we'd be using it on a north-facing patio.

I've been looking at the IKEA Applaro with reclining chairs:

Are there better options? Once you factor in a cover and cushions, it's not the cheapest but it does look like it ticks most of our boxes - thoughts?

I love the Zest4Leisure range.

My advice is to think, very hard, about maintenance and storage.

Only buy wood if you are willing to repaint / stain at least as often as recommended. And to store inside on the winter, or keep under plastic covers.

I am lazy so I only have metal and plastic wood that doesn't need maintained.
