Can I still sow potatoes now???

you can, the variety will depend on when they will be ready or if they are suceptible to late blight which can kill them off before the tubers develop

Ok thanks may buy some potato sacks to grow them in. Is it poss to have home grown pots for Xmas?

yes, if you have somewhere like a greenhouse/sheltered and sunny to grow them in.

They are actually advertising seed potatoes for Xmas atm - the traditional variety is Carlingford, but there are a couple more available now.
I tried a couple of years ago, in the greenhouse, but they came out quite small - I suspect I didn't water them enough.

Yes they will need feeding a good phosphorus based feed if in bags.
