What's happening to my rosebuds

It's not all of them on a plant and not all bushes are affected. I spray but not often.
Any ideas please?

It could be a fungal infection. Are you spraying them with a specific product for roses? The instructions should be followed carefully, maybe you are spraying too much.

Oops see that you are not spraying that often.
If all of the buds look like this, I'd prune to new shoots and see what a second flush looks like.

I took some to GWL at the weekend. The lovely lady from Peter Beale said it was weedkiller drift. I've sprayed this year for the first time so I've learned my lessonWinkSmile
