Loads of these have sprouted up in my garden and not sure whether I should be pleased or not! They have fairly thick, pinky red coloured roots, would be great if someone could tell me what they are!

Not sure, but could be the beginnings of Yellow loostrife. It be a wait and see!

redfairy · 04/04/2017 16:32

I think it's loosestrife too.

I dug a load of these out at the weekend for my neighbour, before the damn things took over.
Is the latin name lamium or am.i confusing them with something else?

poisonedbypen · 04/04/2017 20:31

Not loosestrife, they are much finer

timtam23 · 04/04/2017 22:46

It does look like yellow loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata)

Thank you everyone! I shall probably be back with other mystery plants soon Grin

Looks like willow herb to me. Bane of my life!

Loosestrife. Very invasive in my garden. I'll be painting on strong weedkiller soon as nothing else has worked so far.
