I wanted to post something about having a fine set of shirt potatoes you can have

But I won't

I will have soon - just waiting for my deliver from Marshalls. But they're not new pots - second earlies and some maincrop (but CANNOT remember for the life of me what variety they are - my mum has our list...suffice it to say, they have been chosen for their resistence to eelworm (!) and cooking versatility...)

Any good to you? How many do you want?

Just (!) 6 I think. Just to grow in a couple of tubs I have. Please! Will pay postage.

And you have my list of seeds....if you see anything you like .....

I have no idea what you mean IG - mustve gone straight over my poorly head.....

oh, no problem, I can certainly spare half a dozen - will let you know when they arrive...

Exciting, innit?

OH very!!! I cant wait to get on and start planting and sowing. In fact I know I can start a few things now, I just need to get my cold frames up and my mini greenhouse out of the shed.

I might go and sow some spinach straight in the ground to give me a nice early crop.

I've discovered a lovely pasta recipe that uses young spinach leaves and pesto and so I'm keen to be able to go and pick fresh....

I think some carrots can be sown around now too (after this harsh frost has settled in a few days of course). Mind you, I have some plastic sheeting - I can mock up my own polytunnel....oooh....will be out there this weekend!!!!
