I have a new garden, what can I plant in pots now?

Our garden has just been done (just lawn and paving) and I'm excited to do some prettifying!

I have a few small and medium sized pots and there's a some semi-circle wall basket things. Is there anything I can plant now to enjoy over the autumn and winter or am I too late?

I'm clueless and talentless so any advice gratefully received!

Nasturtiums should keep going for a bit - and the leaves are nice in salad.

There is loads you can plant now !
violas/ polyanthus / cyclamen/heathers/ trailing ivy/heuchera.
Maybe a little look around a local nursery or plant stall at a market to see what is available near you :)

Winter heather?

Last winter I had small euphorbia and euonymus in pots and then planted them out in spring. Also heathers and winter flowering pansies. Plus ivy, cyclamens etc. Winter pots look great I think!

I've just put some heucheras and euphorbias in wide pots with a few mini cyclamen poking out. I love the combo of euphorbia Silver Swan with heuchera Plum Pudding. Peachy heucherellas too... I'm a bit obsessed tbh.

Hopefully they'll give me a bit of winter colour while all else is miserable!

Jealous of your garden makeover OP! 😊
