Looking for something really bright yellow that is in flower about now! I have Crocosmia George Davison, which I really like, but can you think of anything else?

Also, does anyone have Prunella Grandiflora? Am looking at in on SGC, and wondering whether to take a punt on it. But I have no experience at all with it, just one of those plants I don't know.

not that much!
the oenothera is just out, (maybe a bit of a soft yellow) , coreopsis, eschsholzia,
I still have hemerocallis out, is that a thought? (though mine is the bog standard orange,)
and a soft yellow Potentilla
Not helping here , am I ?

rudbeckia?

I have all sorts of yellow things growing in my garden atm... they're all supposed to be green... Grin

agnu - I laughed out loud. It's been dry hasn't it!!

book - you're always helpful!! Coreopsis and that Bill McKenzie clematis recommended by lotsofdots would be perfect, thank you! I can't have the day lillies because of the 3,000 cats in my neighbourhood, so I grow them at the allotment (middle of nowhere).

I used to have rudbeckia Goldsturm but it's vanished, so good to have a reminder to get some more whiffle! Smile

Sunflowers

shovetheholly · 26/08/2016 10:20

Oooh, I do love a sunflower. Unfortunately, my spot is north-facing, but I bet there are some varieties that will cope...

And some of these, a type of daisy?

Bill Mckenzie is great, lovely seed heads later on, and a good grower that just gets lopped right back each year. No difficult pruning!

Music to my ears dots! Those flowers are a lovely vibrant colour and I have a spare willow obelisk to grow it up as well!
