Ever since I got rid if the pampas grass, we've had red ants in the lawn. This year they have staged all out war. Ants, millions, grass nil. And they bite. And their nests spread.
In previous years I have tried separately and in combinations
Ant killer
Boiling water
Raking
Nematodes
What can I do?
I don't like them, even though I know they are useful. But they are not helpful creating 2' diameter nests where I want to sit down or mow.
