How long would it take a plant supplied in a 2l pot to grow to the same size as one in a 7l pot? (I'm trying to work out how much time I'd save for the extra money.)

I can't answer exactly but Eve Prince is more compact than the species version of Viburnum so it won't look as if it's growing really quickly IYKWIM. A species version would grow at about 6 inches a year which isn't a lot if you want it to grow quickly and look mature. A quick look on the RHS site says it takes 10-20 years to grow to its full height and width so I'd be tempted to buy the bigger version.

Obviously, it'll grow quicker in optimal growing conditions.
