Painting walls and fences

I have a small back garden. On one side is a wall which is made out of breeze blocks, and the other 3 sides are wooden fences. A previous tenant had painted it all cream, the same colour everywhere. Even the floor of the old coal run is painted cream! I want to repaint as it looks tatty, but I'm wondering if I can use the same paint to paint both the wall and fences, or whether I will need to use different masonary/wood paint. I want it all to be the same colour so I'm guessing I might struggle to find the same colour in different kinds of paint?

Normally you'd need different products but if fence has already been painted in non-specialist paint, you can probably just paint over the top of that.

Is it peeling or flaking anywhere? Presumably they've used an oil based masonry paint. Do you have a photo?

Both masonry paint and timbercare stains and so on will be available in dark blues and greens, brick red, black and so on, so a close match shouldn't be a problem if you have the basis to stick with specialist products.

Thanks :)

It's pissing with rain at the moment but I will take a picture when it stops.
