We have recently moved to a new house where the person before was an avid gardener. The garden is absolutely beautiful and packed! We went to a garden center yesterday and I actually took an interest in the plants for the first time and have realised the value of the plants and shrubs we have, literally thousands of pounds! I am very keen to keep them looking their best but as I am a complete novice I have no clue what most of them are or how to care for them. Could anyone recommend a good book or app that could help me?

Thank you.

Here is my totally cockerney guide:

Phlox subulata (phlox moss?) - flox sub-yew-lah-tah (Lah as in LAH-de-dah, tah rhyming with this)
Acer Palmatum - Bloodgood (Japanese maple) - eh-sir palm-a-tum
Helleborus X hybridus hell-e-bore-us hy-brid-us
Pieris Formosa - wakehurst - pier-iss form-oh-sah (pier as in the seaside thing)
Aubrieta - cobalt violet - or-brie-sha (brie as in the French cheese, sha rhyming with LAH and TAH above)
Euphorbia myrsinites - yew-for-bee-ah (as in Spice Girls zig-a-zig-AH) myrrh-sin-aye-teas

Thanks shove!

Now to google and start to populate my spreadsheet!

Actually getting round to weeding today and removing the masses of daisies that have grown in the borders at the side and back of the house Confused
