Did anyone see this three part series about rebuilding a long lost Capability Brown landscape at Belvoir Castle? I am just flagging this up because I enjoyed it so much but it was buried on More 4 I think and some people may have missed it. The final part was this week but I am pretty sure you can still get it on catch up. Although yes it was presented by Alan Titchmarsh.....

Yes! I watched it. Thought it was a brave project to take on (and perhaps not the most lucrative, since that seemed to be an issue) but boy those lakes looked amazing at the end. I'd love to see what it looks like in a few years, once its all settled in a bit.

Also, I was incredibly excited by the TREE SPADE! Who knew there was such a thing?! I just wanted to have a go.

yes the tree spade is a sensation but I fear it costs a bloody fortune to hire. I've got several trees I'd like to move so maybe I'll look into it.

Not to mention that it'd destroy everything in its path in a garden! But amazing for parkland!
