Cheap trellis?

I have three honeysuckle, I want to put them on a south facing wall that we have the bins against so it's a bit of scent in the summer.

What's a good way of getting them to climb? Wooden or plastic?.

Hmmm, not seen much plastic trellis about but if you did use that it would fall apart after a few years due to sun damage.

You could get some wooden trellis, or just use wires strung between the top and the bottom of the wall - or even horizontally. Once established vertically they will climb on themselves.

Wires? Yes I can see that working and it would take the constant sunshine.

Wood or plastics going to degrade in that heat.

Wood if treated should be fine for a few years at least, but pressure treated gets expensive.

Roll of wire is cheap as chips Smile and get some little eye-hooks - you'll want a drill for the wall and rawlplugs.

I finished painting the garden fence last week. I am so over wooden things.
