Went to the allotment yesterday to water stuff and found a shed load of the nasty buggers swarming around at one end. I'm in a corner with brambles on two sides and I'm hoping that they weren't thinking of nesting in there. Any clues as to what they might have been up to and any tips on what I can do to get rid of them if they're still there on Sunday?

No personal experience, but it is possible they are looking for a nest site.

We had a tiny papery nest started in our garage, many years ago, but it was never continued.

Look on bee keeper/wasp web sites for advice, but I think if you are unfortunate and a viable nest is built, you either learn to live with it, or get professional advice if you want it removed.

Thank-you, although the thought of having to live with it is slightly Shock!
