Cacti and succulent fans. Rain water or tap water?

I'm really getting into buying cacti and succulents, and this week I have took the plunge and ordered some seeds. Can't wait!

I use rain water for other houseplants, but is it ok for cacti and succulents too, or are they happy with tap water?

They have survived up to now with rainwater, (had the plants a few weeks) but I don't want to find down the line that I'm slowly killing them off...

I think rain water would be best, as tap water has chlorine, fluoride and who knows what else in!

But they won't need very much will they?

No, not much. I'm definitely not overwatering them if that's what you mean Smile

Thanks anyway.

Can't wait until the seeds arrive, will be great to see them develop Smile
