Garden furniture wood or metal?

DH thinks metal for durability, I like wood.
We do have somewhere to store it over the winter.

We're rural if that makes a difference.
Is there anything I should look out for?

Metal ive found. Forked out in the past on more than one set of solid wood furniture and despite treating it they eventually rot. Bought metal last summer and love it. Surprisingly very comfortable and hardy but I would say buy the best you can afford.

Metal - have spent a fortune on wood over the years and it always rots.

I finally gave in and went for metal frames with mesh seats - they are very comfortable and durable. They are also easier to move and store.

Thank you. DH will be happy.

I held out for years insisting that wood was much nicer/more suitable in our rural garden.
It's been a bit galling to admit DH was right - as well as ease of care I use the new furniture a lot more because it is much more comfortable.
