Have you ever tried to grow pepper or tea? I found this article To think of climate change.

Yeah I have two of those [Szechuan peppers] . I came across one in an arboretum one day that happened to be the day that the peppers needed harvesting so I unashamedly pocketed a load - the plant was around 8ft tall so had hundreds of seeds on them just ready to pop. Never got any to germinate - luckily I already had two plants. Gave them both a good prune last autumn so I have high hopes this year.

I m so glad I will try this. Also other spices can grow like cumin, caraway, fenel. Some have pleasant aromatic leaves like bay. It is nice to have them in pots indoors as well.
