Decorative foliage plants other than ivy for spring bulb container. Any ideas?

I'm planting snowdrop bulbs in a wide bowl shaped container for a garden tabletop display.

I am planning on a conifer being in the centre, but I also need a trailing plant in between that I can arrange to hide the bare bits when the snowdrops die down, then keep in control when they come back up again. Ivy is ok, but I need something more dramatic,

Any ideas will be appreciated. Many thanks Smile

How about ajuga? It isn't trailing as such, but it'll spill over the edge. It'll also spread itself around (but is less rampant than ivy) and you can easily lop bits off if it gets too big.

Thanks Maud, I'll have a look for that Smile

Off to the garden centre I go ...
